May is St James’ Month of Community Service.

There will be many opportunities to donate to a charity, participate in a project, make deliveries and acts of kindness.

Look below for the Spring projects: Chapel House in Auburn, Interfaith Works, Matthew Farm 25, Matthew House, Merriman Circle (Rescue Mission), Ronald McDonald House, Samaritan Center, Skaneateles Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, The Thrift Shop and projects supporting the needs of our St. James family.

There will be weekly announcements in the newsletter and during the five Sundays of May we will have project coordinators sharing with us the impact of the projects we are supporting. The Month of Community Service always fills the church with excitement as we share God’s love.

SUPPORT RELIEF FOR UKRAINE

The crisis in the Ukraine has touched us all. People want to help.
For the month of May, St. James’ is partnering with the Skaneateles Sunrise Rotary Club to collect financial donations to be used for relief for the Ukrainian people.
For every $1,000 raised, supplies such as a tarp, duct tape, blankets, water purification materials, storage, and cooking equipment for 10 people -and this lasts up to 6 months!

All donations to this effort are being directed to a trusted non-governmental 501C-tax exempt organization.
